About the position
The Mainframe Developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications using various technologies and tools. The position requires proficiency in programming languages and frameworks specific to mainframe environments, as well as experience with modern development practices such as CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Cobol, DB2, CICS, JCL, and VSAM.
- Experience with Git and code repository usage.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and Jenkins Pipeline.
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools like JIRA.
- Experience with zOS Connect.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with IDz (RDz - older version) as a development tool.
- Experience with Beyond Compare for code comparison.
- Knowledge of streaming and data publishing tools such as HEC, Kafka, DD (Data Distributor), and Cassandra.
- Experience with Autosys for job scheduling.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, Kibana, Rancher, Microsoft Visio, Postman, and Insomnia.
