Mainframe Network Security Engineer

About the position

The position requires deep knowledge in maintaining and supporting the Mainframe Network System Programmer and administration. The role involves installing and configuring network systems on the system side, as well as fine-tuning Mainframe environments with debugging and problem analysis. Candidates should have experience working with the network system side of Mainframe environments in a parallel sysplex environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Mainframe Network System Programmer and administration.
• Install and configure network systems on the system side.
• Fine-tune Mainframe environments with debugging and problem analysis.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Mainframe Network System programming and administration.
• Experience working with the network system side of Mainframe environments in a parallel sysplex environment.
• Sufficient knowledge of TSO/ISPF.
• Knowledge of z/OS Communication Server SNA and TCP/IP in multiple LPAR environments.
• Security knowledge including Policy Agent and Encryption knowledge, specifically with VTAM.
