About the position

The Security Architect at Kyndryl is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the security strategy within the Service Provider organization. This role involves designing effective security solutions, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards. The Security Architect will also advise senior leadership on security best practices and emerging threats, ensuring the organization remains secure against potential risks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security strategies for the Service Provider organization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling to identify and prioritize risks.
  • Design and implement effective security solutions that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain policies, standards, and guidelines related to information security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and technologies.
  • Conduct security reviews of vendors and third-party partners.
  • Perform regular security and risk reviews of the Service Provider environment.
  • Advise senior leadership on the latest security best practices and emerging threats.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in security architecture, with a preference for up to 15 years.
  • Experience in Mainframe services delivery or consulting.
  • Experience working with global teams in presentation and client-facing roles.
  • Experience on the Z platform, particularly z/OS, with knowledge of database, middleware, storage, network, and performance.
  • Working knowledge of Mainframe ESM such as RACF/ACF2/TopSecret.
  • Knowledge of Z security concepts including PR/SM Virtualization and Privileged Access Management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Theoretical or practical knowledge of Mainframe Security concepts/technologies.
  • Experience with Mainframe IAM, Encryption Management, and Security Intelligence/Monitoring.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance management.
