About the position

The Mainline Pipe Layer position involves installing pipes for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. The role requires working in various locations and performing tasks such as trench preparation, pipe alignment, and maintenance of tools. The position is full-time with a focus on construction work.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
• Ensure ground is prepped and trenches are dug out for pipes.
• Grade trenches and cover pipes with dirt or other material.
• Slide pipe into trenches and align pipe sections.
• Pull out defective or misaligned pipes.
• Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure proper spacing and specifications.
• Perform continual maintenance on tools and replace those needing repair.
• Assist with other general labor duties as required.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in pipelaying or related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to submit to a drug and background test.

• Experience in welding.
