Responsibilities
- Install pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
- Ensure ground is prepped and trenches are dug out for pipes.
- Grade trenches and cover pipes with dirt or other material.
- Slide pipe into trenches and align pipe sections, pulling out defective or misaligned pipes.
- Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure proper spacing according to specifications.
- Perform continual maintenance on tools and replace those needing repair.
- Assist with other general labor duties as required.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in pipelaying or related field.
- Heavy equipment operation skills.
- Ability to use a pipe laser.
- Valid mid-level Driver's License.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading.
- Welding skills.
