About the position
As a Customer Service Representative at Southwest Self Storage, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers have a positive experience from their initial inquiry to their move-out process. This position requires a hands-on approach, working closely with facility staff and reporting to the Facility Manager, while also being comfortable working independently. Your responsibilities will include managing customer accounts, conducting property tours, performing light maintenance duties, and maintaining the overall appearance of the property.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate leads and inquiries by determining customer needs and making recommendations.
- Manage customer accounts and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
- Conduct property tours and employ sales techniques to showcase services.
- Build effective relationships with customers by listening to their needs.
- Open and close the office, including generating reports and cash drawer reconciliation.
- Support and lead marketing campaigns.
- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and answering phones.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs and lock checks to ensure safety and security.
- Perform unit turnover procedures to ensure units are clean and rent ready.
- Maintain the physical condition of the property and perform light landscaping.
Requirements
- 0-1 years' experience in a customer service or office setting.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills with diverse backgrounds.
- Versatility and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Prior self-storage experience is a plus but not required.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and grow.
