About the position

The Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the physical upkeep and safety of the Belle Reve Senior Living facility. This position involves performing routine maintenance and repairs, maintaining the grounds, and contributing to a positive living environment for residents and staff. The role requires effective communication and a commitment to safety and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of the residence.
• Maintain the physical appearance of the grounds and building.
• Ensure that the building is physically sound and safe.
• Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance service.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining proper inventory levels of maintenance supplies.
• Act as a contact person for vendors performing maintenance jobs.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• Valid driver's license in the state employed.
• A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
