About the position

The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for performing routine repairs and upkeep of the facility's infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units. This role ensures that all equipment and building systems are functioning properly to provide a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff at Berkshire Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance on plumbing systems.
• Conduct electrical repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Maintain HVAC units to ensure proper functioning.
• Inspect and troubleshoot building systems for safety and efficiency.
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff and residents.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy equipment.
