Havenwood of Minnetonka is recruiting for a hospitality-focused Plant Operations Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for assisting with the care and maintenance of all aspects of the community's physical plant, which includes maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program. The Plant Operations Technician will be tasked with maintaining equipment, buildings, utilities, and grounds through a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. This includes arranging for maintenance contracts as necessary and ensuring that emergency power generating equipment, as well as all fire and life safety equipment, is properly maintained. The technician will also be responsible for conducting fire drill and safety inspection reports, providing residents and staff with timely and effective responses to service requests, and ensuring that all equipment and systems function properly and safely. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and ordinances is a critical aspect of this role. Additionally, the technician will maintain an adequate level of service repair parts for various systems including electrical, plumbing, laundry, lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, hardware, locks, batteries, tools, expendable supplies, emergency telephone, and security equipment based on past and expected usage. The role also involves maintaining and adjusting computerized controls for HVAC and other equipment as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Associates Degree or equivalent in relevant education, training, and experience
  • Maintenance supervisor experience (preferred)
