About the position

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance procedures, minor repairs, and emergency maintenance tasks within a warehouse environment. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the safety and functionality of buildings and equipment, while also maintaining accurate logs of maintenance work performed.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM procedures on a scheduled basis and complete required forms.
• Keep a log of all maintenance work.
• Perform minor repairs on buildings and warehouse equipment using various power and hand tools.
• Inspect and lubricate dock levelers, roll-up and slide doors, and inspect/repair racks.
• Replace broken windows, repair doors and locks, and repair concrete walls and floors.
• Install minor electrical wiring and equipment, and repair electrical equipment, lighting, and ballasts.
• Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings, including repairs to plaster, painting, and drywall.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Maintain and ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Efficient individual with excellent time management skills.
• Attention to detail, self-starter, punctual, and hard worker.
• Working knowledge of basic tools and vehicle maintenance.
