About the position

The Maintenance Controller at New Pacific Airlines is responsible for overseeing aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, and providing technical support to maintenance technicians. This role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency by coordinating with various departments, including Maintenance Planning and Flight Operations, to ensure aircraft are returned to airworthy status in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain control and provide technical support for maintenance technicians.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planning and Flight Operations to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Review maintenance actions and log activities in the Maintenance Control Summary.
  • Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and schedule corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to company manuals, federal regulations, and New Pacific policies.
  • Engage in clear communication with internal and external departments.
  • Coordinate repair intervals and review maintenance actions to support on-time operations.
  • Participate in operational calls with pilots and Operations regarding aircraft discrepancies.
  • Submit parts requisitions for acquiring parts for aircraft under charter operation.
  • Review maintenance accomplished and forecasted using maintenance software (Trax).
  • Promote adherence to the aircraft maintenance schedule by coordinating with Maintenance and Stores.
  • Maintain a Turn-Over log of activities and irregularities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificates.
  • At least one year of experience in troubleshooting and returning large aircraft (greater than 12,500 pounds) to service.
  • Experience as a Lead or Supervisor within the last five years is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable portions of CFR part 5, 43, 91, and 121.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Trax maintenance software or similar programs.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to adhere to Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Fluent in English (speak, read, write, understand).
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug test.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
