About the position

The Maintenance Coordinator at Sunrise Senior Living is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Facilities Management within the community. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, ensuring compliance with building systems and related codes, and managing maintenance staff effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the residents.
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of Facilities Management functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with building systems and related code requirements.
  • Managing maintenance staff, including recruiting, coaching, and performance management.
  • Handling multiple priorities effectively.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates a high proficiency and understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and code compliance.
  • Experience in maintaining water source heat pumps is preferred.
  • Understanding of OSHA and life safety regulations.
  • One (1) year of supervisory and management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective presentations and training.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and ability to learn new applications.
