About the position

The Maintenance Coordinator at Corteva Agriscience is responsible for overseeing the preventative maintenance program at the Utica, IL production facility. This role involves managing parts and supplies inventory, establishing relationships with vendors, supervising maintenance work, and ensuring effective communication across shifts and departments. The position emphasizes adherence to safety and quality standards while promoting continuous improvement in maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventative maintenance program and maintain parts/supplies inventory.
  • Establish positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Repair equipment in-house or outsource repairs as needed.
  • Supervise and schedule maintenance work.
  • Ensure appropriate recordkeeping is completed.
  • Coordinate, troubleshoot and assist with equipment and facility repairs.
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across shifts and departments.
  • Promote and implement continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to all safety quality and productivity standards and requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Ability to schedule work/jobs and follow-up on completion status.
  • Good understanding of maintaining/repairing hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical power transmission systems, electrical systems, welding, and fabrication work.
  • Willingness to work in tight or closed-in spaces, climb stairs/ladders, work at heights, stand or walk for extended periods, frequent bending and reaching, and work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to work a day schedule as well as overtime hours including weekend work during seasonal peaks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with a CMMS (SAP) for work orders and parts inventory.
  • Automation knowledge.
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work.
