About the position

The Maintenance Director/Plant Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical systems, as well as performing preventative maintenance. The position requires strong leadership skills to supervise staff and manage maintenance tasks effectively while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department.
• Monitor, maintain, and repair all mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
• Keep up with all maintenance-related documentation and report to the Executive Director.
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance assignments with assistance from the Executive Director.
• Interact comfortably with residents and family members while performing duties.
• Submit accident reports to the Executive Director promptly.
• Assist in the orientation and training of maintenance personnel.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order as directed.
• Conduct monthly Safety Meetings and oversee OSHA Compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a maintenance-related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership position.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, air-conditioning, appliances, and electricity.
