About the position
The Maintenance Director at Bloomington Rehabilitation and Health Care is responsible for overseeing the general maintenance of the facility, ensuring that all common areas, resident rooms, and equipment are well-maintained. This role is crucial in supporting the quality of life for residents and involves a combination of hands-on maintenance work and administrative duties. The position requires a motivated individual who can lead by example and work collaboratively with a dedicated team of caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the general maintenance of the facility, including all common areas, resident rooms, grounds, equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Perform routine building maintenance duties, including painting, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and maintenance of heating and ventilation systems.
- Lead by example to maximize each resident's quality of life.
- Complete administrative duties, such as filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to the supervisor.
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- 2+ years of related experience in maintenance or a similar field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
