About the position

The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in supporting the operations of the client's Fulfillment Center as part of the Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team. This position involves leading maintenance efforts, providing guidance to technicians, and ensuring the functionality of materials handling equipment and robotic systems. The role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, safety, and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain, and continuously improve functionality of materials handling equipment (MHE) and robotic systems.
  • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids.
  • Lead and mentor work plans for emergency repair of critical assets and training plans for Maintenance Technicians.
  • Build and close out work orders in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with RME business partners and Operations Maintenance team members.
  • Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
  • Valid Electrician License.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
  • Proficient in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and Safety standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and/or industrial electronics.
  • Ability to conduct preventative and procedure-based maintenance.
  • Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs.
  • 3+ years of work order management experience.
  • Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment to run metrics such as OEE/Up Time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Previous vendor management experience.
  • Experience with robotic maintenance.
  • Experience with CMMS.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: electronic, electrical, mechanical, access control servers, PLCs, process controls, robotics, or mechanical power transmissions.
