About the position

The Maintenance Electronic Technician is responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting electro/mechanical problems in dairy processing and packaging equipment. This role involves working with PLCs, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting machine operators with mechanical or electrical issues. The technician will also engage in ongoing education to enhance electrical skills and will be expected to maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Analyze electro/mechanical problems of dairy processing and packaging equipment.
• Work with current ETs in monitoring and communicating with various PLCs.
• Troubleshoot plant and utility equipment and make necessary repairs.
• Assist machine operators in determining when to shut down machines due to issues.
• Train with plant personnel on electrical aspects of the position.
• Perform established preventative maintenance procedures on plant equipment.
• Process requisitions to replace parts used.
• Execute assigned projects under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator/Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete daily records of work performed on MP2 maintenance software.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic industrial 3-phase power, including AC and DC motors, relay logic, and programmable control logic.
• Basic working knowledge of power transmission equipment, mechanical drawings, scales, and symbols.
• Prior experience in basic industrial electricity or equivalent.
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent (lead/foreman experience preferred).
• Intermediate computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to work well with people and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.

• Experience with industrial maintenance in a leadership role.
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills.
