About the position
The Maintenance Engineer at Innisbrook Resort is responsible for performing general repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel. This role involves working under the direction of the Property Operations Supervisor and Director of Property Operations, ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly and that safety systems are operable. The position requires a hands-on approach to various repair tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, while maintaining accurate records of completed tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repair and maintenance of equipment in and around the hotel.
- Respond to guest room calls as required.
- Assist other departmental craft workers as needed.
- Perform duties as a member of the Fire Alarm Response Team.
- Maintain accurate records of assigned tasks and repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience in minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and A/C repairs.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- All-around skills in making minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, A/C, painting, wallpapering, and carpentry.
