About the position
The position involves the efficient and safe operation of central HVAC and mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to corporate operating procedures. The role requires the repair and maintenance of various kitchen and laundry equipment, refrigeration systems, and plumbing systems, while also performing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate central HVAC equipment and mechanical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain food production and related kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, ice machines, refrigeration systems, boilers, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic problems quickly and economically.
- Perform ongoing preventive and predictive maintenance.
Requirements
- Previous hotel engineering experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and general building construction.
- Vocational training, associate's degree, certification, and/or apprenticeship in one or more areas; state certification or licensure where required.
- Ability to understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems.
- Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdowns.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High work ethic and self-initiative.
