As the selected and appointed Maintenance Engineer/Electrician Support Representative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with maintaining and improving the performance of production-related equipment, ensuring it remains in safe, working order. Your role will involve completing scheduled maintenance and reliability improvement projects, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and responding to equipment and machine problems with a high sense of urgency. You will maintain, modify, and complete set-ups, performing troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on packaging and processing machines. Actively supporting VFM efforts, you will apply team principles, vision, and mission statements while constantly seeking ways to enhance the performance of production equipment as part of your everyday responsibilities. We are looking for a professional with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Maintenance or Electric/Electronics. As a trusted individual, you will assist with the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical circuitry and electronic components. You should be able to program PLC logic and utilize computer control programs to troubleshoot and improve machine performance while maintaining machine electrical integrity. Additionally, you will perform routine mechanical repairs, including bearing replacements, gearbox rebuilds, and coupling alignments, and assist in the installation of new production equipment, ensuring compliance with local and federal codes (O.S.H.A.). You will also support machine operators and Team Leaders to ensure efficient facility operations and assist Operators and Sanitors with daily equipment set-ups, as well as contribute to the training of machine operators.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and improvement tasks on production-related equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Maintenance or Electric/Electronics background.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuitry and electronic components.
  • Experience in programming PLC logic and using computer control programs.
  • Knowledge of maintaining machine electrical integrity.
  • Experience in performing routine mechanical repairs such as bearing replacements and gearbox rebuilds.
