Join our Convention Center Maintenance Team as a, Maintenance Engineer I Heating & Air Conditioning technician where you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a diverse range of systems.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the daily operation of the mechanical plant and associated HVAC systems at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to HVAC equipment and related equipment.
- Perform inspections and provide necessary reporting and recommendations.
- Requisition necessary parts, materials supplies and equipment from Facilities Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain oversight of related contractors and check work for compliance.
- Supervise full time and part time assigned personnel when necessary.
- Perform other building maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Perform related tasks when needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
- Need the ability to work Monday -Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm with rotating weekend shifts; some holidays and schedule adjustments based on schedule of events and emergency needs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of proper operation maintenance and repair of chillers, boilers, air handling units, vavs, fan coil units, cooling towers, ddc controls, single phase and three phase motors, pumps and variable frequency drives.
- Ability to administer, enforce and comply with OSHA EPA and state rules and regulation in the performance of their job.
- Ability to plan oversee or complete complex mechanical system troubleshooting and repair operations.
