About the position

As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, focusing on providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems across various financial institution locations in the Hartford, CT to New London/Coastal area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for the facility.
  • Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repairs, and maintain inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
  • Coordinate repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
  • Review inspections of building and industrial systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities.
  • Lead compliance with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Operate company-issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Mentor others and share in-depth knowledge of job subject area and related areas within the function.
  • Model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and work to build consensus among team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification and valid driver's license required.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs or more, stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with a sophisticated inquisitive attitude.
