About the position
The Maintenance Engineer at Plunge Beach Resort is responsible for maintaining the hotel's interior and exterior facilities, ensuring that all areas, including guest rooms and public spaces, are in excellent working condition. This role requires a proactive approach to addressing maintenance requests from guests and ensuring their satisfaction with prompt and courteous service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel, including guest rooms, public restrooms, and other designated areas.
- Respond to guest maintenance requests courteously and promptly, resolving issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Handle objects and equipment to maintain the facility, including bending, stooping, and kneeling as required.
- Work in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required.
- Some laundry experience preferred.
