About the position
The maintenance engineer responsibilities include performing assignments as directed by the Director of Engineering, responding to guest room calls to rectify any room issues, repairing malfunctioning equipment, performing grounds maintenance, and performing preventative maintenance. The role also involves assisting with light carpentry work, painting, electrical and plumbing work as needed. Wequassett Resort and Golf is an exquisite 27-acre resort on beautiful Pleasant Bay, known for its award-winning service culture and commitment to go above and beyond for guests. The resort features four restaurants, two pools, two private beaches, four tennis courts, boating and sailing, and championship golf.
Responsibilities
- Performing assignments as directed by the Director of Engineering
- Responding to guest room calls to rectify any room issues
- Repairing malfunctioning equipment
- Performing grounds maintenance
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Assisting with light carpentry work, painting, electrical and plumbing work as needed
Requirements
- A minimum of one year's similar job experience is required
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a resort environment is preferred
- CPO license and experience with pools a plus
