About the position

The Maintenance Engineer position at Aerotek involves supporting the maintenance and operation of various systems within an ink manufacturing facility. The role requires a basic understanding of HVAC, production equipment, and electrical systems, along with responsibilities in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting in building construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building construction and remodeling projects.
• Serve as backup to the maintenance mechanic in installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) to ensure proper operation of machinery and equipment.
• Complete maintenance requirements following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment for proper operation, dismantle defective components, and install new or repair parts.
• Assist with the design and installation of major equipment or building structures.
• Conduct various building construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects.
• Fabricate projects out of wood or metal using welders, cutting saws, and grinders.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of HVAC, MAU's, production equipment, material handling equipment, and power distribution equipment.
• Understanding of voltages from 120V to 480V 3 phase.
• Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Experience in manufacturing and maintenance.
