About the position

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Facilities/Maintenance Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure our facilities operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a background in maintenance, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The technician will assist with regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems. They will help diagnose and repair issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components, ensuring all repairs are performed in a timely and efficient manner. In addition to repairs, the technician will maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all facilities, including common areas, restrooms, and workspaces. They will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. Safety compliance is crucial, and the technician will ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, conducting safety inspections and addressing any hazards promptly. Accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment logs, is also a key responsibility. The technician will coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services, overseeing and inspecting work to ensure it meets company standards. In case of emergencies, they will respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs to ensure safety and continuity of operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is required.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices is essential.
  • Must be at least 21 and meet all local and state regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions.
