About the position
The Maintenance First Level Inspector monitors equipment condition, in part, by performing both a formal schedule of systematic inspections (PM) of plant equipment, and non-systematic inspections as required by equipment stoppages, daily incidents and pending turnarounds.
Responsibilities
- Work off a daily PM work order to inspect critically deemed equipment.
- Perform first level running inspections on all other equipment based on criticality and stopped first level inspections when due.
- Assist specific inspectors with their responsibilities when needed and perform basic repairs requiring minimal time-on-tools.
- Interact with production personnel regarding operating procedures and issues found which have an impact on equipment.
- Keep the specific inspector updated on equipment condition and promote plant safety.
Requirements
- Certified Maintenance Technician (IMI Certification) preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
