Maintenance/Food Service Driver - District

About the position

The Food Service Driver/Maintenance position is responsible for performing maintenance tasks across the district while also serving as a driver for food service deliveries. This role requires a combination of manual labor, maintenance skills, and customer service, ensuring that both the facilities and food service operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Repair buildings and equipment
• Maintain lawns, shrubs, trees, flower beds, etc., by mowing, trimming, pruning, digging, etc.
• Paint all buildings, walls, trim, furniture
• Remove snow
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Clean sewers
• Remove and replace glass or plastic
• Perform mail run/bank run
• Load product onto the truck daily
• Follow delivery route in a timely manner
• Report necessary maintenance or repairs needed on vehicle to management
• Maintain, service, and upkeep cleanliness of vehicle and equipment
• Perform all job duties in a safe manner by adhering to all driving regulations, company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude towards customers, clients, and co-workers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Good moral character
• Pass physical examination showing ability to perform manual labor including stooping, bending, lifting 50 pounds or more
• Able to communicate appropriately and effectively, as well as understand both oral and written instructions
• Ability to create and maintain good public relations
• Ability to work without constant direct supervision
• Ability to use/learn building equipment, materials, and methods used in Custodial work
• Ability to complete minor maintenance repairs
• Ability to keep records and inventories as may be required
• Ability to navigate basic computer and internet functions
• Working knowledge or ability to learn several maintenance skills including painting, locks and hardware, lawn equipment repair, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, boilers, refrigeration, HVAC
