About the position

The Maintenance General position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel grounds and facilities are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards. The role includes both outdoor and indoor responsibilities, requiring a hands-on approach to upkeep and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance of hotel grounds, including landscaping, pruning, mulching, mowing, and trash removal.
• Conduct basic building repairs and maintenance, including painting, minor carpentry, and HVAC filter replacements.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards throughout the property.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal or planting.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in groundskeeping and basic building maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems is required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of property appearance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
