About the position
The Maintenance Hourly 3rd Shift position at Pilgrim's is responsible for providing direction to other mechanics and electricians while performing troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. This role requires the ability to work in a team environment and handle various mechanical duties, ensuring the efficient operation of equipment in a food production setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment.
- Complete work orders as assigned.
- Work around raw food products safely.
- Provide direction to other mechanics and electricians.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Capable of working without direct supervision.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and bend.
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
- Basic mechanical ability.
- Ability to work 5 to 7 days a week.
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions under pressure.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient for teamwork.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility in a changing work environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under stress.
