About the position

The Maintenance Mechanic position at Lennox involves performing general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities

• Perform general preventative maintenance and simple repairs on manufacturing machines and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions by checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
• Provide work leadership for lower-level maintenance mechanics through assignment of work and technical guidance.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Expert knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction or repair.
• Expert knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Strong ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• Some electrical knowledge may be required.
• Ability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
