About the position

The Maintenance III position at Trillium Woods involves maintaining all aspects of the physical plant within a premier skilled nursing facility. The role includes conducting preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs, and various building equipment and plumbing repairs under the supervision of a manager. The position is essential for ensuring a safe and functional environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers, and some furniture and fixtures.
  • Conduct light plumbing work, minor electrical repairs, and appliance repairs.
  • Assist or perform work on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
  • Perform painting and refurbishing projects as directed by the supervisor.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance as directed by the supervisor.
  • Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
  • Accomplish all work in the order of priority set by the supervisor.
  • Assist with snow removal efforts during winter.
  • Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance during spring, summer, and fall.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Boiler License or CPO certification preferred.
  • Training or experience with electrical, plumbing, and painting in a complex commercial, industrial, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Proficient computer skills to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Boiler License or CPO certification preferred.
