About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of machine and building maintenance, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, and improvements of production equipment. This role ensures that machines operate within compliance limits and supports R&D projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine repairs to ensure compliance with process control limits.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to the established schedule.
  • Document reports and filings to ensure effective communication with management and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in R&D projects when required.
  • Weld and machine parts and fixtures as necessary.

Requirements

  • Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems, AC/DC motor controls, and PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of extruders, slitters, and lamination equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot 3 phase 2018/480 VAC and control circuits of 110VAC and 24DC.
  • Working knowledge of MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Ability to fabricate guards, covers, etc.
  • Proficient in using tools such as torch, band saw, grinder, plasma cutter, power drills, drill press, mill, and lathe machines.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant education from college or trade school.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AB PLCs preferred but not necessary.
