About the position

The Maintenance position at Rhoads Industries, Inc. is responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations across all business lines. This role involves adhering to safety standards and procedures, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. The position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work collaboratively with various team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly preventative maintenance on tools, heavy machinery, and fabrication equipment.
• Assist with repairs and follow lubrication standards in the preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct facility maintenance including HVAC, lighting, electrical panels & wiring, plumbing, and roof inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment such as fabrication equipment, forklifts, and air compressors.
• Maintain an inventory of service and repair parts.
• Organize to support multiple projects and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean work area in the maintenance shop.
• Provide facility maintenance support as required.
• Work flexible hours and overtime when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; relevant technical certification or associate degree in industrial mechanics or maintenance technology preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Experience with minor repairs for welding machines, breakers, and electrical circuitry.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
• Knowledge of ISO and UL Certifications.
• OSHA 10 certificate (to be completed within 90 days of hire).
