About the position

IFF has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Site Maintenance Instrument & Electrical Craft located in Midland, Michigan. This position is within a growing cGMP facility that produces industry-leading cellulosic products for the pharmaceutical excipient and food markets. The role involves providing technical expertise and support to plant personnel, particularly in troubleshooting failures and repairs. You will be responsible for ensuring that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, and correct technology are documented and communicated effectively. Additionally, you will provide technical support for the specification, identification, and purchasing of necessary parts, serving as a resource to the planner on work packages and contributing to the development of turnaround work scopes. In this role, you will collaborate with other crafts and coordinators to ensure that maintenance repairs are completed on time. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in the workplace. As part of the Pharma Solutions business unit, you will be part of a team that is poised for growth and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry, with an expected transition to Roquette in the near future. Responsibilities

  • Provide experience on failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
  • Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures and repairs.
  • Ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, and correct technology are documented and communicated.
  • Provide technical support for specification, identification, and purchasing of needed parts.
  • Serve as a technical resource to the planner on work packages.
  • Provide input on scope of work during the development of turnaround work.
  • Collaborate with other crafts and coordinators to complete maintenance repairs on time.

Requirements

  • State of Michigan Electrical licenses are required.
  • Instrumentation training (will provide Instrumentation training to the right candidate).
  • Proficient in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a cGMP facility.
  • Familiarity with maintenance repair techniques and procedures.
