About the position

The Laborer position at Republic Services involves performing general labor duties safely and efficiently at various facilities such as hauling companies, transfer stations, recycling centers, or landfills. The role includes responsibilities like yard clean-up, fueling vehicles, operating site vehicles, and maintaining general office areas, contributing to the overall operational efficiency and safety of the work environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean up work areas
• Fuel vehicles and equipment
• Clean track on track type and related equipment
• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as water trucks, pick up trucks, sweepers, mowers, trimming equipment, etc.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work
• Install temporary wind fences, as required
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor and operate various types of equipment
• Strong commitment to safety and efficiency
• Basic maintenance skills for vehicles and equipment
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
