About the position
The Maintenance Lead position is responsible for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment within a poultry plant. This role provides direction to other mechanics and electricians, ensuring effective maintenance operations while working in a challenging environment that involves raw food products.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Complete work orders efficiently and accurately.
- Provide leadership and direction to mechanics and electricians.
- Work around raw food products safely and effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Capable of working without direct supervision.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and bend as required.
- Able to frequently lift 50 lbs.
- Basic mechanical ability and knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Capable of working 5 to 7 days a week.
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated speed, consistency, and accuracy in tasks.
