About the position
The Maintenance Lead position is responsible for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment within a poultry processing plant. This role provides leadership to mechanics and electricians, ensuring efficient maintenance operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Complete work orders as assigned.
- Provide leadership and direction to mechanics and electricians.
- Work around raw food products safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Capable of working without direct supervision.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and bend as required.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mechanical ability and knowledge.
- Ability to work 5 to 7 days a week.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure.
- Interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks in a changing environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under stress.
