About the position

The Maintenance Lead at Greystar is responsible for overseeing and performing technical and mechanical work to ensure that the physical aspects of the property, including units, buildings, grounds, and amenities, meet the company's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role involves leading maintenance tasks, managing work orders, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations under the supervision of the Area Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform the completion process of work orders generated from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee the 'make-ready' process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Manage inventory and obtain materials, supplies, and tools from the maintenance department.
• Complete inspections and monitor required platforms for compliance with codes and regulations.
• Document service requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain the grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Support cost-cutting and expense control programs by repairing rather than replacing parts.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair issues in accordance with safety standards and codes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in property management or real estate maintenance.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software.
