About the position

The Maintenance Lead at Tex Best is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of various building systems within the retail environment. This role focuses on ensuring that all equipment and facilities are operational and well-maintained, contributing to a safe and pleasant shopping experience for customers. The position requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks and collaboration with store staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks throughout the retail store.
• Identify and report the need for major repairs.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are kept in clean and operational condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with store setup and takedown for special events.
• Collaborate with store staff to maintain a safe and pleasant shopping environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks for equipment and facilities in accordance with manufacturer's and/or engineering guidelines.
• Provide equipment maintenance support and preventive maintenance on an on-demand/emergency basis.

Requirements

• Proven experience in maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to handle physical workload and stand for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of motivation and proactivity.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders for access to ceilings and signs.
• Ability to crawl in access areas and under counters and dispensers.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble large and small mechanical, plumbing, and electrical parts, assemblies, and components.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools and special equipment to complete work assignments.
• Ability to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching.
