About The Position
StuartCo, founded in 1970, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Lead to join the team at York Plaza, located in Edina, MN. This role is crucial for ensuring resident satisfaction, convenience, and safety through the regular upkeep of the property and community. The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for performing property preventive maintenance, repairs, replacements, and inspections in a timely manner. The working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with an on-call rotation occurring once every four weeks. The Maintenance Lead will play a vital role in maintaining the property’s standards and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance Lead will perform a variety of maintenance tasks as needed or requested by residents and property management staff. This includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, keys and locks, appliances, lighting systems, and carpentry. The role also involves turning apartments to meet move-in standards, performing preventive maintenance according to established guidelines, and conducting exterior maintenance such as roof and parking lot upkeep. Grounds care, including snow removal and trash pick-up, is also part of the responsibilities. The Maintenance Lead will maintain an adequate inventory of maintenance supplies, select and order supplies, and monitor the maintenance supply budget. Coordination with outside vendors and compliance with safety regulations are essential aspects of this position. In addition to the essential responsibilities, the Maintenance Lead will assist with community cleaning as required, complete routine paperwork, attend staff meetings and maintenance training, and maintain a high level of customer service. The role requires flexibility, receptiveness to change, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures. The Maintenance Lead must also possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record, as transportation may be necessary for the role.
