About the position

The Maintenance Lead position at Aerotek involves overseeing and supervising a team of Maintenance Technicians while performing maintenance tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment within the facility, as well as maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team on the assigned shift.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are logged and tracked within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Oversee the progress of work orders and ensure timely completion by the Maintenance Technicians on the shift.
  • Troubleshoot minor electrical problems, such as blown fuses and shorts.
  • Detect unusual sounds from machines indicating malfunctions.
  • Install piping systems using PVC, stainless steel, and/or iron pipe.
  • Install machinery and equipment according to specifications.
  • Repair and maintain centrifugal and pneumatic pumps.
  • Weld metal parts using TIG or arc welding techniques.
  • Fabricate or modify equipment using hand tools, such as saws, drills, and grinders.

Requirements

  • Preventive maintenance experience
  • PLC troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • 480v troubleshooting experience
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical repair experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Hand tool usage proficiency
  • Experience with production changeover
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Experience in preventative/corrective maintenance

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
  • Experience in MIG, TIG, or STICK welding/fabrication
  • Experience with 120v-480v single and 3 phase electrical systems, 3 phase motors, AC/DC drives, fuses, relays, and switches
  • Basic PLC troubleshooting with an understanding of ladder logic
