About the position
The Maintenance Manager at Five Star Parks & Attractions is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the facility, including go-karts and other attractions. This role ensures that all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, adhering to safety standards and maintenance schedules. The position requires a hands-on approach to repairs and maintenance, fostering a positive safety culture for both employees and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform diversified duties and repairs to maintain the functionality of the facility, go-karts, and other attractions.
- Provide unscheduled repairs of attractions as needed when they experience issues.
- Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of go-karts and other attractions.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance checklists to ensure attractions are safe and properly lubricated.
- Adhere to procedures and guidelines set forth by manufacturers for all work performed on attractions.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules set forth by manufacturers.
- Keep documentation and repair logs indefinitely, including annual inspections and NDT testing.
- Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, troubleshooting, and repair to the facility, go-karts, and attractions.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Review processes and procedures regularly to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a maintenance-related position.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government-required licenses, certificates, or permits.
- Highly organized with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a loud environment.
- Experience working on small engines and general maintenance required.
Nice-to-haves
- Light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills.
- Knowledge and use of hand and power tools.
