Responsibilities

  • Ensure asset reliability by following good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for installation of new equipment.
  • Ensure all work is performed to comply with all applicable regulations (OSHA 1910.119, RMP, etc.). Maintain an up-to-date plan for continuous improvements.
  • Lead the overall planning and execution of the plant's annual maintenance turnaround.
  • Collaborate on both enterprise and plant initiatives to support overall business objectives.
  • Actively supports and drives corporate HSSE initiatives at the site. Creates and drives a safe and environmentally sound facility.
  • Participates in and supports incident investigations ensuring that corrective actions are properly implemented.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance employees are properly trained in all facets of the plant's activities (HAZWOPER, Skills certifications, process overview, etc.).
  • Report all safety or environmental incidents immediately and openly participate in the incident investigation.
  • Responsible for the overall HS&E performance for the Maintenance department.
  • Mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 or more years of maintenance and/or plant engineering experience
  • Experience with computerized based maintenance system (CMMS) experience, preferable in SAP
  • In-depth preventive maintenance (PM/PDM) knowledge with process equipment
  • In-depth fixed or rotating equipment body of knowledge
  • Continuous process industry (CPI) experience, preferable in petrochemical or chemical industries
  • Proficiency in understanding of electrical systems, controls and instrumentation, and distributed control system (DCS)
  • Proficiency in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) such as 5-whys, fault tree analysis, Failure Mode Effective Analysis (FMEA)
