The Maintenance Manager at Ecovyst is responsible for overseeing the mechanical and instrument/electrical maintenance functions within the plant. This role is crucial for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives and compliance with safety regulations. The Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance planning, support corporate health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) initiatives, and mentor maintenance staff to foster a culture of learning and development.

  • Ensure asset reliability through effective maintenance practices including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations such as OSHA 1910.119 and RMP during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain an up-to-date plan for continuous improvements in maintenance processes.
  • Lead the planning and execution of the plant's annual maintenance turnaround.
  • Collaborate on enterprise and plant initiatives to support overall business objectives.
  • Support and drive corporate HSSE initiatives at the site.
  • Create and maintain a safe and environmentally sound facility.
  • Participate in incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure all maintenance employees are properly trained in plant activities and safety protocols.
  • Report all safety or environmental incidents immediately and participate in investigations.
  • Oversee the HS&E performance for the Maintenance department.
  • Mentor maintenance staff to promote continuous learning and skill development.
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of maintenance and/or plant engineering experience.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), preferably SAP.
  • In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM/PDM) for process equipment.
  • Strong understanding of fixed and rotating equipment.
  • Experience in the continuous process industry, preferably in petrochemical or chemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and distributed control systems (DCS).
  • Experience in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) techniques such as 5-whys, fault tree analysis, and Failure Mode Effective Analysis (FMEA).
