About the position

The Maintenance Manager at Utz Quality Foods is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of the manufacturing plant in Goodyear, AZ. This role involves managing the department budget, team schedules, maintenance management systems, and implementing plant facility improvements. The Maintenance Manager will focus on ensuring that manufacturing equipment operates at optimal efficiency, driven by KPI metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for manufacturing productivity and product quality from a maintenance standpoint.
  • Directs maintenance, inspection and repair of structures, equipment, and systems (roof, lift trucks, gas lines, boilers, elevators, sprinklers, etc.).
  • Supports Corporate Engineering Manager as required to implement capital projects against established budgets and timelines.
  • Responsible for wastewater treatment system, fuel system and other resources necessary for the production plant.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years' experience in mechanical support of a manufacturing facility, HVAC, and electrical maintenance, preferably in the food industry.
  • 2+ Years' experience in a supervisory position preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and develop resolutions.
  • Ability to support organization through proven leadership, supervising, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills in mechanics, equipment design, and drafting acquired through a trade or technical school.
  • Knowledge and application of pneumatics, hydraulics, construction design, welding, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and wastewater treatment acquired through a combination of 5 to 10 years experience, an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, and/or self-directed independent study.
  • Interpersonal and supervisory skills necessary to lead others and coordinate projects and repairs with contractors.
  • Required to wear non-slip, steel toe shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.
