About the position

The Maintenance Manager at True North Hotel Group is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all mechanical operations and equipment at the TownePlace Suites in Fort Myers, FL. This role ensures the integrity of the hotel's facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, while managing specialized maintenance tasks and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all manageable mechanical operations and equipment including electrical wiring, small plumbing problems, windows, doors, locks and keys, drywall, wall papering, painting, caulking, equipment maintenance, furniture and upholstery repair, and swimming pool and spa operation and upkeep.
• Manage specialized maintenance work such as the upkeep of elevators and refrigeration units.
• Troubleshoot technology issues including wireless networks, phones, and cables.
• Oversee and manage the integrity of all door locks and key controls.
• Maintain replacement stock and ordering supplies.
• Manage the building exterior and grounds, including landscaping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years working experience in facility maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Active driver's license and ability to drive maintenance van.
• Ability to carry, lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in hospitality is a plus.
