About the position
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire Maintenance department within the facility, focusing on preventative maintenance programs, MRO Storeroom management, and the development of autonomous maintenance initiatives on the production floor. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient operations and equipment reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PM and AM programs on all plant equipment.
- Ensure the development of work instructions for maintenance tasks on machines.
- Audit, track progress, and post KPI measures and results.
- Prepare and submit internal and external reports according to local and department requirements.
- Design, develop, initiate, and present innovative engineering ideas for new equipment designs.
- Support manufacturing activities through maintenance of machines and facilities.
- Select, train, develop, evaluate, and motivate the maintenance workforce.
- Maintain a functional and efficient MRO Storeroom process.
- Communicate continuously with the Operations Manager and Plant Manager regarding safety, schedules, and operational opportunities.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
- 10 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with engineering systems and best manufacturing practices.
- Proven track record of improving manufacturing costs and working through others.
- Understanding of Preventative Maintenance systems and relevant Reliability tools.
