About the position

Join this dynamic team focused on delivering better nutrition for every step of life's journey. As the Maintenance Manager, you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in our Cheese and Whey manufacturing plant. This role involves hands-on work as well as supervisory responsibilities and will report to the Director of Maintenance. Your key responsibilities will include providing electrical/mechanical, process, and environmental maintenance support to our cheese/whey production and packing operation. You will assist the Project Manager during construction and commissioning phases of main projects, liaising with general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendor equipment engineers for new project management. Additionally, you will assist procurement in maintaining an efficient maintenance parts replacement program and identify and assemble internal and external resources as needed. As a leader, you will train new team members, establish team roles and expectations, and manage Plant Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians. You will monitor and manage work breakdown structure, work quality, schedule critical path, safety compliance, and budget. Maintaining proper maintenance records and documents, implementing maintenance objectives and success criteria as directed by senior personnel, and scheduling team meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and clarify expectations will also be part of your duties.

Requirements

  • 6 years of relevant work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including email, record keeping, database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics.
  • Experience in building, facilities, and dairy maintenance.
  • Understanding of TPM and similar methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and delegate assignments effectively.
  • Physical strength to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
