About the position
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Gallup, New Mexico. The selected candidate will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring that all facility systems are functioning optimally and that any issues are addressed promptly to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. The Maintenance Mechanic will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and will be part of an on-call rotation to address any urgent maintenance needs outside of regular hours. The pay rate for this position ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of all facility systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled trades and lower level apprentice craft work for the installation, repair and maintenance of facility systems, buildings and equipment in a manufacturing or field site environment
- Install, repair, maintain, dismantle and move large and/or complex industrial equipment
- Service and repair of vehicles
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment
- Ability to perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in a relevant trade or field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
